Comprehensive Online Assessments for Autism and ADHD
Alchemik offers thorough diagnostic assessments for Autism and/or ADHD, conducted entirely online via secure video sessions – available across Australia.
A neurodiversity-affirming assessment for Autism or ADHD is about more than just getting a diagnosis –it’s about understanding yourself. It recognises your unique strengths and challenges as part of your neurotype, and affirms that being neurodivergent is a natural variation in how human brains work – not a disorder that needs to be fixed.
Adult ADHD/Autism Assessment

Neurodiversity-affirming online assessments
These assessments can help you better understand how your brain works, give you tools to identify and communicate your needs, foster self-compassion, and connect you with a supportive community. Assessments can also open the door to helpful supports and accommodations, such as those available through the NDIS.
Companioned by a neurodiversity-affirming psychologist, our assessments are tailored for adults (18 years and over) who are seeking greater self-understanding, or who may benefit from NDIS supports*, home, social, workplace or educational accommodations.
We use a range of validated tools**, including the MIGDAS-2 for Autism, and the DIVA-5 for ADHD. Each assessment is carefully adapted to suit your unique needs and experiences, providing insight and practical support.
For more information about the assessment process and pricing, please see our Pre-, During and Post-Assessment information section below.

* Please note: A diagnosis does not guarantee eligibility for NDIS supports. Approval also depends on factors such as the level of functional support needs.
** While we use widely accepted diagnostic tools like the MIGDAS-2, we understand that some assessments may not fully capture subtler presentations—particularly in women and individuals with strong verbal skills. This is thoughtfully considered in our approach.

What to expect:
A preliminary pre-assessment intake phone appointment with a psychologist will take place.
Following this, questionnaires about your background, mental health and the potential traits of ADHD, Autism will be sent to and completed by you, and preferably, by someone who knew you well in childhood and someone who knows you well now.
You will then meet with a psychologist via telehealth for 2-3 interview sessions, including a formal assessment session. The meeting/not meeting of the DSM-TR criteria will be gleaned from the clinician learning about your life experiences.
Empirically validated measures will be used, such as the DIVA-5 for ADHD and the MIGDAS-2 for Autism. If more information is needed, there may be a follow up appointment required, which will not incur an additional fee.
Once interviews and assessments have been completed, you will receive a comprehensive assessment report. The report will include findings from the interviews/assessment, a diagnosis and personally tailored recommendations to ensure you feel well informed and supported. The timeline for report availability will usually be within 3 weeks.
Once you have received your report, you will have the opportunity to discuss your results with your assessing psychologist.
Other support:
If you would like to apply for accommodations (home, school, university, work) or NDIS supports, the assessment report includes an official diagnosis, including severity levels (autism), functional impairment and recommendations for supports/accommodations. Diagnosis does not guarantee an application for NDIS supports will be approved. Further information regarding this can be found here:
https://www.ndis.gov.au/applying-access-ndisIf you require further therapeutic supports from an Alchemik psychologist, post-assessment sessions can be arranged.
